Prepositions indicate a relation in terms of space, time, or logical connection between two or more people, places, or things.
Here are some of the most common Portuguese prepositions and their main usage.
A (to, at)
- Indicates movement:
- 🗼 Ele foi a Paris. (He went to Paris.)
- Indicates time:
- 🕐 A que horas nos encontramos? (At what time do we meet?)
- Indicates price:
- 🍊 Comprei laranjas a 1€ o quilo. (I bought oranges at 1€ a kilo.)
