Comparisons of Equality
One of the most basic communicative tasks in any language involves making comparisons. In Portuguese, there are simple patterns used to make comparisons. You’ll learn here how to make comparisons of equality to compare adjectives, adverbs, nouns and verbs.
Tão + adjective + como/quanto
This is equivalent to 'as + adjective + as.'
You need to make sure the adjective agrees in number and gender with the first noun you are comparing.
