Plural (Rules and Examples)
Singular to plural word inflection is very frequent in Portuguese since verbs, articles (e.g. the, a/an), demonstratives (e.g. this, that), possessives (e.g. my, your) and adjectives (e.g. big, good) must agree with the number of the noun they refer to.
Verbs have their own plural formation rules, but articles, demonstratives, possessives and adjectives follow the same patterns for the formation of plurals as nouns.
