In Portuguese, most nationalities end in -o for the masculine form and -a for the feminine form. However, there are also numerous nationalities that end in -ês for the masculine form and -esa for the feminine form. In the last table, you'll discover a few nationalities that deviate from these patterns entirely.
For languages (línguas), the masculine form of the nationality is used.
