George Bernard Shaw tinha uma "cabana de escrita" que utilizava para evitar as pessoas.had a "writing hut" he would use to escape people. It was built on a turntable so it could rotate to follow the sunlight throughout the day.

It had a typewriter, a heater, a phone for emergencies or food, and a bed so he could lie down. Shaw said, "people bother me... I came here to hide from them."
