This Portuguese preposition is often shortened to ‘pra,’ ‘prá,’ ‘pró,’ ‘pá’ and ‘pó’ in fast Portuguese. These shortened forms of 'para' are very common in spoken casual Portuguese, but are considered incorrect in formal writing.
