A Very Important Figure

Um dia, o Papa estava a caminho do aeroporto. Ele não conduzia um carro desde que se tornou Papa, por isso perguntou ao seu motorista se podia conduzir em vez dele.De repente, ele vê luzes da polícia atrás de si. Encosta e o polícia vem à janela. Quando vê o Papa os seus olhos ficam arregalados. Ele olha para dentro do carro e diz ao Papa "Espere um minuto." Então, volta para o seu carro para avisar o chefe pelo rádio.Polícia: "Chefe, temos uma situação. Encostei uma pessoa importante.”Chefe: "Quão importante? Um governador ou algo assim?"Polícia: "Não senhor. Mais importante."Chefe: "Então, o quê, uma celebridade ou coisa do género?"Polícia: "Não senhor, muito mais importante."Chefe: “ENTÃO QUEM É?!”Polícia: “Não tenho a certeza, mas o motorista dele é o Papa.”

One day, the Pope was on his way to the airport. He hadn’t driven a car since becoming the Pope, so he asks his driver if he can drive instead.Suddenly, he sees police lights behind him. He pulls over and the officer comes to the window. When he sees the Pope his eyes go wide. He looks inside the car and tells the Pope "Wait a minute." He then goes back to his car to warn the chief over the radio.Police: "Chief, we have a situation. I pulled over an important person."Chief: "How important? A governor or something?"Police: "No sir. More important."Chief: "So, what, a celebrity or something?"Police: "No sir, much more important."Chief: "WELL, WHO IS IT!?"Police: “I'm not sure, but his driver is the Pope.”
