To See: Present and Preterite
The Portuguese verb ver means to see or to watch in English. It is an irregular verb, which means that it does not follow the regular conjugation patterns of most verbs in Portuguese.
Here is the conjugation of ver in the present tense:
- Eu vejo (I see)
- Tu vês (you see)
- Você/ele/ela vê (you [formal] see, he/she sees)
- Nós vemos (we see)
- Vocês/eles/elas veem (you [plural]/they see)
Here are the conjugations for the preterite tense:
- Eu vi (I saw)
- Tu viste (you saw)
- Ele/ela/você viu (you [formal]/he/she saw)
