Gerúndio - The Portuguese Gerund
The 'gerúndio,' like the past participle and the infinitive, is not part of any verb tense or mood. It is an invariable form of the verb (it doesn’t vary in gender or number), consisting of a simple gerund, such as 'andando' (walking) and a compound gerund, such as 'tendo andado' (having walked). It is equivalent to the English present participle ('-ing' verb form).
