Numbers 1 to 1,000,000
In Portuguese, there are masculine and feminine forms for:
- Cardinals 1 and 2
- Multiples of 100 (which are expressed in the plural)
- Forms for the ordinal numbers
The masculine symbol for “first” is a superscript “o” (º) and the feminine symbol is a superscript “a” (ª).
In Portuguese, we use “(a)” at the end of a masculine word, to indicate that the feminine also applies.
