Future Subjunctive
The future subjunctive is used to talk about imprecise future scenarios or likely future scenarios, referring to the hypothetical situations or conditions that must be met in order for them to take place.
For example, we might say:
- 🤷 Quem chegar primeiro ganha o prémio. (Whoever arrives first wins the prize.)
Here, the future subjunctive expresses the notion that the outcome is unknown or uncertain. We don’t know who will arrive first.
